Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Palestine have established on 6 April, 1992. Palestinian Embassy in Kazakhstan operates since 1993. Since October 2015 the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Palestine to Kazakhstan is Montaser Abu Zeid.
Relations between Kazakhstan and Palestine oversee the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev twice visited Palestine on an official visit (December 1995, April 2000).
There were visits to Kazakhstan of the President of the State of Palestine, Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Yasser Arafat (December 1991 and April 1999), Special Envoy of the President of the PNA Mahmoud Abbas Yasser Abbas (October 2008).
In May 2014, the Palestinian delegation headed by the Chairman of the Palestine Monetary Agency Jihad Al-Wazir took part in the VII Astana Economic Forum.
The volume of trade between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Palestine in 2014 amounted to 4 thousand US dollars (Import only). No commodity exchange between two countries fixed in 2015.
The legal base of the Kazakh-Palestinian relations includes the following documents:
- Agreement on Cultural Cooperation;
- Protocol on Cooperation in the field of sports and youth movement in the years 1999-2001.
