The Middle East’s largest food and beverages manufacturing company «Almarai» is interested in establishing cooperation with Kazakhstan

On September 3, in Riyadh, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Mr. Berik Aryn had a meeting with Mr. George Sсhorderet, CEO of «Almarai» company.  During the meeting they discussed the issues of establishing of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the company by creating joint ventures for the food production, poultry and dairy products.

In this regard, the Ambassador spoke in detail about the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan and the measures taken by the Government to develop it. He also informed about the preferences and privileges provided in our country to foreign investors, the investment legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and submitted to the company a number of investment projects in the field of agriculture.

Along with this, the diplomat informed about the activities of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), created on the initiative of Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President - Leader of the Nation and the available opportunities for interaction within this organization.

Mr. G. Shorderet took with great interest the information on agriculture and agribusiness complex of our country and the available investment opportunities. He expressed readiness to explore opportunities of establishing a mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, parties agreed to organize a visit of company delegation to Kazakhstan to participate in the 1st meeting of the Kazakhstan-Saudi Business Council, scheduled for autumn of this year in Nur-Sultan city.
