Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Georgia
According to statistics, the volume of trade turnover between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Georgia for 2017 amounted $64.6 million, which is $23.4 million more than the same indicator in 2016. In January-October 2018 the turnover of mutual trade reached $75.22 million.
The main export items from Kazakhstan to Georgia are oil and oil products, pasta and from Georgia to Kazakhstan - nuts, mineral water, wine, pipes from ferrous metals.
Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation is an effective mechanism for expanding bilateral trade and economic relations and determining priority areas.
Kazakhstan is one of the hugest investors at the economy of Georgia. There are presented following kazakh companies: "Pompetrol - Georgia", "KazTransGaz - Tbilisi", "Batumi Oil Terminal" and "Batumi Sea Port", commercial bank "Halyk Bank", air companies: "Air Astana" and "SCAT" and other companies.
In 2012 Kazakhstan and Georgia signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism. Kazakhstan is among the top ten countries with the largest number of tourists to Georgia.
